Marriage…

After two wonderful years of marriage (May 7th) I feel that I am finally beginning to grasp what it is that marriage is all about…

It is NOT about not being lonely, or having someone to do things for you, or even having someone to cuddle with in bed at night [although, those are all great things].

It is about making a promise to keep forever, even if you’ve broken it. It is about keeping that promise even when your spouse has broken it. At the end of the day, it is about letting go of all expectations, all deservedness, and giving more of yourself to them than you thought possible. Why? Because expectations are limiting, we are all truly SO undeserving, and our ability to give is far greater than we even know.

Marriage is about sacrifice, forgiveness, and unconditional…unquestionable…unwavering love!
